Sprucing
up in the Pines
April 18 - 20, 2008
Here’s a real working
vacation for
you, your family, or your group. Stay for free in one of our cozy
cabins under whispering pines, and leave the cooking to our dining room
chefs. The meals are excellent and very reasonable. Or if you wish to
bring your own food to prepare in the kitchen of
your cabin for your entire stay, you’re welcome to do that for no
charge.
Then
spend your days leisurely wielding paintbrushes, hammers and saws,
rakes, or any tool you want to bring along. Or, we have our own tools
for you to use. We’ll provide all the supplies
you’ll need. We will have plenty of chores on our honey-do list ranging
from sewing curtains to sprucing up signage. And we will match your
skills and interests to what needs to be done.
Last
year’s volunteers raked up pine needles, built decks and stairs, sealed
outdoor benches and chairs, made curtains, and helped install
irrigation systems around the Tallac Center.
It’s
up to you to decide what’s best for your abilities. It’s really fun to
work together at Zephyr Point in springtime before the crowds come.
And, it’s a great way to get your exercise in the fresh mountain air.
Please come.
